Back in 2001, iWorQ Systems made history for local governments by introducing the very first web-based management software designed specifically for cities and counties.
This launch featured iWorQ’s Pavement Management and Sign Management applications and later developed into a suite of over 20 applications.
These tools completely transformed how local agencies managed their infrastructure and served their communities.
Before iWorQ: A Time of Inefficiency
Before iWorQ, local governments typically relied heavily on physical paper records and cumbersome desktop programs.
These old systems could not be accessed outside of the office. Important information was often stored in filing cabinets, making it vulnerable to being misplaced, damaged or lost, or it was saved on a single hard drive. This limitation made it difficult for staff to collaborate across departments.
When data is not easily accessible, processes are hindered. Workflows become inefficient, teams are forced to wait for updates, and duplicative efforts arise without anyone realizing it.
