Yes. While the system includes pavement condition assessments using the SHARP distress method and RSL (Remaining Service Life) ratings, it also supports gravel roads. You can track treatments like blading or grading, even if the roads aren't paved.

How does the pavement assessment work?

The company uses the Trimble MX7 camera (similar to Google Street View) to map and assess roads. Roads are rated on a 0–20 RSL scale using five distress categories.

Can I track different types of road treatments?

Yes. You can configure and track various treatments (e.g., blading, patching) and associate them with specific road segments.

Condition Assessment

Use different types of distress surveys including walking, automated or visual. iWorQ recommends using a visual distress survey based on the SHRP Distress Identification Manual to determine the remaining service life (RSL) of each segment. This will help with future budget and construction decisions.

Mapping and GIS

iWorQ utilizes shapefiles produced from ArcView, ArcGIS or AutoCAD. iWorQ’s Map provides all the essential GIS functions and can be used by everyone in the organization. Map information can be brought into iWorQ through a REST Service integration.
