Outlined here is what it takes to switch from your legacy software system to iWorQ’s web-based solutions. Many of iWorQ’s customers have converted from an existing software system. We convert data for cities and counties that use Black Bear Systems, PTWIN32, AS/400, Microsoft Access, and other databases. The primary steps of the process include:
- Identification of the data fields and forms that are used
- Documentation of the data formats
- Analyzing the fields and the database they are stored in
- Updating any map or parcel data (if the data is associated to parcel #)
- Association of the proper data, including contractor information and licenses
- Training and implementation
Most agencies start using iWorQ’s web-based solutions within 2 days, and the historical data usually takes less than a week to convert.
Each client is assigned an iWorQ technician. The technician requests all the necessary information for the implementation, including work types, permits, forms, inspection sheets, and data. The iWorQ application is configurable and secure.
iWorQ has NO per-user fees, license fees, access fees, or support fees outside of the annual subscription cost.
Your permits, letters, forms and inspection sheets are customizable to look exactly like the forms you currently use.

Converting data can take a week, however, clients can use iWorQ applications, schedule work, issue permits, and do inspections while the data is being converted. Data conversion is included in the set-up fee in the service agreement, and costs vary depending on which applications are purchased.
